Chittorgarh, also called Chittaur, from the seventh century to the sixteenth, was the capital of Mewar under the Rajputs. Chittaur inspires recollections of extraordinary gallantry and penance by Rajput people in the irregular fights that they needed to battle against intruders from Northwest or Delhi. Chittaur saw both the desolates of war and the victories of the soul.

History and about Bhilwara city of Rajasthan

Bhilwara is acclaimed as the 'city of materials and weaving machines'. The city is additionally home to the widely acclaimed Ramdwara of Ramsnehi Sampraday. The originator Guru of the Sampraday, Swami Ramcharanji Maharaj, lectured his devotees here and later chose to move to Shahpura. The current day base camp of the Ram Snehi Sampraday, known as Ram Niwas Dham is situated in Shahpura.

Mewar state was also called as Udaipur state. The Mewarkingdom was set up around 530 AD. Chittorgarh, capital of Mewar was defeated by the Mughal Emperor Akhbar in 1568. Thereafter, it stayed under Mughals for the following 150 years. It was managed by a few administrations of Mori, Guhilot and Sisodia. The leaders of Mewar utilized the title "Maharana". The state includes present day areas of Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Rajsamand, Pratapgarh, Udaipur
