Shri Sanwaliya Seth Temple is a famous Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, located in Mandphiya village of Chittorgarh district, Rajasthan. The History of Sanwaliya Ji Temple:

According to legend, a devotee of Lord Krishna named Bholaram Gurjar lived in a local village around 1840; he saw three idols of Lord Krishna buried in the ground in a dream, and when the villagers excavated the site, they indeed discovered three idols exactly as Bholaram had envisioned.

All three idols were exquisitely beautiful and captivating; subsequently, one idol was brought to Mandfiya, the second to Bhadsoda, and the third was installed in the original village, with temples constructed at all three locations.

Construction work on this temple began in 1961 and continues to this day. The temple houses a black idol of Lord Krishna, and festivals including Janmashtami are celebrated here with great enthusiasm and grandeur.

The Sanwaliya Seth Temple is located on National Highway 27, approximately 80 kilometres from Udaipur and 30 kilometres from Chittorgarh. You can easily reach the temple from either city via regular buses or hired taxis. The nearest railway station is at Chittorgarh, while the closest airport is Udaipur's Maharana Pratap Airport; the latter offers daily flights connecting to major cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Pune, Bhopal, Raipur, Goa, and Indore.

The best time to visit Sanwaliya Ji temple is from October to March as the weather is quite variable during this time. To avoid this, you can go early in the morning between 5:00 AM to 8:00 AM as there is less crowd there during those times. If you have to go only for darshan, then try to go on such a day so that there are minimum number of beds there.
